About the role#
As an Information Technology Specialist Intern, you will work with the IT team to provide technical support and assist with daily technology operations. You will gain hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware, software, network access, and user account issues. This role provides insight into how an enterprise IT function supports the organization and may lead to future opportunities in systems administration, infrastructure, or cybersecurity.
What you'll do#
- Respond to technical support requests and assist with resolving user issues.
- Troubleshoot computers, software, printers, mobile devices, and connectivity.
- Assist with computer setup, software installation, and new-user onboarding.
- Support user accounts, passwords, permissions, and access requests.
- Document service requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
- Help maintain IT equipment inventory and support equipment deployments.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve or escalate technical issues.
What you'll need#
- Actively pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Strong communication skills, initiative, and curiosity.
- An innovative mindset and a strong motivation to learn and succeed.
- Willingness to travel.
Location & details#
- Location: Deerfield Beach, Florida.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May to August, 12 weeks).
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Compensation: Hourly pay up to $23.00, with potential housing stipends in certain situations.
