    About the role#

    The Process Engineering Intern supports manufacturing, maintenance, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives at our Fridley facility. You will gain hands-on experience in a production environment by leading projects that improve equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and safety. You will work alongside production, maintenance, quality, engineering, and EHS teams to identify opportunities and implement solutions that support plant performance.

    What you'll do#

    • Support Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
    • Assist with maintenance and reliability projects, including preventive maintenance optimization and asset management.
    • Analyze production, maintenance, and quality data to identify trends and solve problems.
    • Develop technical documentation, such as SOPs, equipment drawings, and P&IDs.
    • Lead cross-functional projects across operations, maintenance, and safety, and present findings to site leadership.

    What you'll need#

    • Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
    • Rising junior or senior standing in an engineering discipline.
    • Comfort working in a production or manufacturing environment.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Interest in process improvement, safety, or quality engineering.
    • Experience with AutoCAD and Minitab is preferred.

    • Term: Summer 2027 (12-week program).
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Employment: Full-time and paid.
