About the role#
The Engineering Intern will support manufacturing operations and engineering initiatives at our Blue Ash, Ohio facility. This role provides direct exposure to process engineering, capital project planning, technical documentation, and continuous improvement activities within a chemical manufacturing environment. You will work alongside Process Engineers, Production, EHS, and plant leadership to contribute to projects that drive operational excellence and safety.
What you'll do#
- Support engineering projects focused on process improvement, productivity enhancements, and operational excellence.
- Review, verify, and update Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) through field observations and AutoCAD revisions.
- Evaluate opportunities for productivity and cost-savings by analyzing operational data and KPIs.
- Review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure documentation remains accurate and aligned with site practices.
- Partner with Engineering, Production, EHS, and site leadership teams to provide project updates.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with AutoCAD or technical drawing software is preferred.
