About the role#
The EHS Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting environmental, health, and safety initiatives within a manufacturing environment. You will work alongside EHS, operations, maintenance, and engineering professionals to contribute to projects that help create a safe and compliant workplace.
What you'll do#
- Support the implementation of contractor management processes using EHS management systems like Benchmark.
- Convert standard operating procedures and work instructions into interactive training modules using the Learning Center platform.
- Assist with EHS-related capital projects by gathering vendor quotes, developing specifications, and managing project documentation.
- Develop Safety Huddle materials, including safety videos, policy voiceovers, and interactive awareness content.
- Lead EHS-focused Gemba audits throughout the facility, document findings, and enter results into management systems.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams on continuous improvement initiatives and Kaizen projects.
- Assist with daily environmental, health, and safety activities.
What you'll need#
- Rising Junior or Senior status pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety & Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Safety Management, or a related field.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- A demonstrated interest in workplace safety, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a manufacturing setting.

- Location: Simpsonville, South Carolina.
- Term: Summer 2027 (12-week program).
- Work Modality: On-site, full-time.
- Compensation: $22-$25 per hour.
