    About the role#

    The Process Engineering Intern supports manufacturing, maintenance, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives at the Houston, Texas specialty chemicals facility. You will gain hands-on experience in a production environment by leading projects that improve equipment reliability, operational efficiency, safety, and product quality. This role involves collaborating with production, maintenance, quality, engineering, and EHS teams to identify opportunities and implement solutions that support plant performance.

    What you'll do#

    • Support Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and operational efficiency.
    • Assist with maintenance and reliability projects, including preventive maintenance optimization and asset management.
    • Analyze production, maintenance, and quality data to identify trends and solve problems.
    • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and P&IDs.
    • Lead cross-functional projects across operations, maintenance, quality, and safety teams.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a bachelor degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
    • Rising junior or senior standing in one of the listed engineering disciplines.
    • Comfortable working in a production or manufacturing environment.
