About the role#
We are seeking a Process Engineering intern to join our team in Calvert City, Kentucky, for the Summer 2027 term. This position offers hands-on experience in a chemical manufacturing environment, providing exposure to both daily operations and technical troubleshooting. The role supports our engineering department through a mix of on-site and hybrid work.
What you'll do#
- Monitor daily quality and onstream performance.
- Review QA/QC data and downtime causes from the previous day.
- Troubleshoot process issues and report findings to upper management.
- Run daily operations for the spray dryer facility.
- Gain experience with a two-tower spray dry operation.
- Conduct fieldwork and review process trends.
- Manage process upsets and direct labor to resolve technical issues.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program, specifically in Chemical Engineering.
- Preference for students entering their senior year.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Familiarity with basic chemistry principles.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Experience with SAP is preferred.
