About the role#
The Lubrizol Corporation is hiring Chemical Engineering students for our Operations Co-op Program. This is a paid, full-time, on-site opportunity for the Winter and Summer 2027 terms. You will work on assignments focused on production support and process development to build your engineering skills in a manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the day-to-day operation of production units and troubleshoot technical manufacturing issues.
- Design lab and pilot scale experiments for new product development and scale-up.
- Work on process optimization projects, such as increasing capacity and reducing batch cycle time.
- Implement equipment changes and evaluate analytical tests.
- Present your work at the end of each work session.
- Potentially work shift schedules, including second or third shifts, to mirror operator rotations.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Expected graduation date between December 2028 and May 2030.
- A GPA greater than 3.0.
- Completion of two co-op terms is required.
- Authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- Ability to work in a chemical manufacturing environment, including wearing required PPE and working outdoors in inclement weather.
Location & details#
- Locations: Wickliffe, Avon Lake, and Painesville, Ohio; Deer Park and Bayport, Texas.
- Work modality: On-site, 40 hours per week.
- Terms: Winter 2027 and Summer 2027.
