About the role#
Central Insurance is looking for a Data Engineering Intern for the summer of 2027. This full-time, on-site role is based in Van Wert, Ohio. You will work directly with our IT data engineering team to gain hands-on experience in the insurance industry. This position is paid and requires legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
What you'll do#
- Write code using applicable programming languages.
- Use industry standard data engineering tools.
- Implement functionality based on existing patterns and approaches.
- Receive mentoring from senior engineers while learning how the team fits into the broader business value chain.
- Complete a summer-long project and present your findings to executive leaders.

- Current pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or Computer Engineering.
