About the role#
NCCI is seeking an IT Infrastructure Intern to join the Platform and Network Engineering team. This role introduces you to the day-to-day operations of Platform and Network Services. You will work on projects and 3-4 month initiatives designed to improve our infrastructure. You will gain experience in automation, monitoring, alerting, and site reliability while working alongside mentors.
What you'll do#
- Perform research and scripting using infrastructure as code tools like Terraform.
- Handle ticket processing, analysis, and remediation tasks.
- Support frontline infrastructure practices including documentation and system refinement.
- Collaborate with senior team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues by analyzing event and incident logs.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or enrolled in a trade program.
- Fundamental knowledge of IT infrastructure principles.
- Hands-on coursework or lab experience with Linux, programming, network monitoring, and log management tools.
- Basic understanding of operating system configuration for Windows, Unix, and Linux.
- Knowledge of networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
- Exposure to scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Ansible is preferred.

- Location: Boca Raton, Florida.
- Modality: Hybrid.
- Term: Fall 2026 and Winter 2027.
- Schedule: Part-time, approximately 20-25 hours per week.
- Compensation: Paid position.
