About the role#
Central Insurance offers a summer internship for students interested in actuarial work. This full-time, paid position runs from May through August 2027. You will work on-site in Van Wert, Ohio, and complete a summer-long project alongside your daily responsibilities.
What you'll do#
- Query and analyze data.
- Create reports to help the team understand insurance operations.
- Assist with rate revisions and filings.
- Solve business problems and demonstrate your professional skills.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or Computer Science.
- Motivation to accomplish goals and a high level of integrity.
- Curiosity regarding new experiences and feedback.
- Ability to analyze information and suggest new possibilities.
- Strong communication skills to build relationships.
- Adaptability and determination when facing challenges.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
- At least one passed actuarial exam is preferred.
