About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Van Wert, Ohio. You will work on-site to solve business problems by applying statistical and analytical techniques to specific projects from start to finish.
What you'll do#
- Write and validate SQL queries to gather data for hypothesis testing.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to find patterns.
- Build predictive models based on your findings.
- Use data visualization to share your results and communicate findings across the organization.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing an M.S. degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
- You have experience writing SQL queries to create datasets.
- You can code in either R or Python.
- You have knowledge of predictive modeling, including regression, linear and non-linear models, machine learning, time series analysis, forecasting, survival analysis, and causal impact analysis.
- You are curious and eager to learn about the insurance industry.
