About the role#
CED offers a paid, structured 10-12 week internship for students interested in sales and management. This program provides a working knowledge of the electrical distribution field through mentoring and on-the-job training. You will gain experience in all aspects of our business operations.
What you'll do#
- Participate in an introductory course covering the electrical distribution industry.
- Learn warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and counter sales.
- Build your sales and interpersonal skills while engaging with customers.
- Learn the CED business philosophy.
- Complete special projects like market sales or customer analysis.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- A current, valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Strong negotiation skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle a high volume of work and multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Majors in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Logistics.
Location & details#
- Locations include Kansas City, Missouri, as well as positions across Arkansas, Kansas, and Nebraska.
- This is a full-time, on-site, paid internship.
- The program runs on a rolling basis.
