About the role#
CED offers a paid, 10 to 12 week internship for students interested in sales and management. This program provides a working knowledge of the electrical distribution industry through mentoring and on the job training. You will gain exposure to all aspects of the business while working on special projects tailored to your interests and the needs of the management team.
What you'll do#
- Learn every aspect of the CED business model.
- Participate in warehouse operations and shipping and receiving tasks.
- Assist with counter sales and customer relations.
- Perform market sales or customer analysis.
- Develop sales and interpersonal skills.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- A current, valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- A detail oriented approach to tasks.
- Ability to solve problems and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Enrollment in Business Administration, Marketing, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics programs.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site, full-time position with rolling start dates.
- Opportunities are available in Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska.
- Work environments include warehouse, office, and external settings. Tasks may involve lifting, sorting, and standing, or extended periods of sitting in an office.
