About the role#
This is a full-time paid internship for the Spring 2027 term. You will work on-site in Houston, Texas, gaining hands-on experience in tax assignments across industries like real estate, construction, healthcare, and manufacturing. You will support the team throughout the full lifecycle of client engagements.
What you'll do#
- Assist in planning tax assignments across various industries.
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
- Build your tax compliance knowledge by helping with IRS audits, tax notices, and trust, gift, or estate returns.
- Work directly with client staff to build professional relationships and provide responsive service.
- Maintain high standards of professional conduct and client confidentiality.
What you'll need#
- You are currently working toward a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and intranet software.
- Ability to communicate clearly with all levels of an organization.
- Strong analytical, research, and project management skills.
- A Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field is preferred.
