About the role#
QC Servion is looking for a Tax Accounting Intern to support our federal, state, and local tax functions. This role provides exposure to sales and use tax, as well as corporate income and franchise tax. You will work alongside accounting and tax professionals to address real-world tax matters within a growing multi-state group.
What you'll do#
- Assist with sales and use tax and corporate income or franchise tax compliance.
- Prepare tax workpapers and reconciliations.
- Gather, analyze, and report tax data.
- Review supporting documentation for tax filings.
- Maintain exemption certificates and compliance records.
- Support responses to tax notices and information requests.
- Assist with state registrations and tax research.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
- Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing, with preference for Juniors and Seniors.
- Interest in tax accounting, state and local taxation, or corporate tax compliance.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is remote and open to candidates based in the United States.
- The internship runs from the third week of May through the second week of August.
- Travel may be required up to 5% of the time.
