About the role#
This summer internship provides hands-on experience in technical writing and document management within a biologics facility. You will support the team in maintaining documentation standards and improving the efficiency of our drafting processes. This role requires working on-site in Madison, Wisconsin.
What you'll do#
- Maintain and update document templates, formatting standards, and management systems.
- Support projects focused on process improvement and automation to increase drafting efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and maintain Microsoft Word tools, macros, and related applications.
- Collaborate with technical writers and cross-functional teams to improve documentation processes and the user experience.
- Manage documentation records, support project execution, and ensure compliance with company procedures, quality, and safety standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university as an undergraduate or graduate student.
- Pursuit of a degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) or a related area.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for a 12-week period during the summer.
- Interest in writing and document-based work.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Comfort working with cross-functional teams and gathering information from others.
- Previous internship, laboratory, manufacturing, research, or professional experience in a related field is preferred.
- A background in biology is helpful but not required.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk regularly, and occasionally lift up to 5 pounds.
