About the role#
The ESG Data & Reporting Student will support the CT REIT team with mandatory building energy benchmarking and public ESG reporting. You will work under the guidance of the Manager, ESG to process environmental data and maintain tracking systems. This is a full-time, paid position for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Support annual building performance reporting for municipal and provincial regulators.
- Coordinate with tenants, utility providers, and regulators to collect energy and water consumption data.
- Review utility invoices to identify anomalies, missing information, or year-over-year variances.
- Follow up with utility providers to clarify data discrepancies.
- Upload consumption data into data management software and maintain internal tracking spreadsheets.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program focused on engineering, environmental sciences, data science, architecture, or sustainability.
- Experience with data management and analysis, including proficiency in MS Excel.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage exchanges with various stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of sustainable building and decarbonization strategies is an asset.

- Compensation: $23.00 - $37.00 per hour, with a typical hiring range of $23.00 - $30.00 per hour.
