About the role#
This is a 12-month student position based at our Central Distribution Centre in Nisku, Alberta. You will support the Supply Management team by ensuring transportation services run on time and meet business requirements. This role is safety sensitive and requires a full-time commitment of 5 days per week.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate transportation services for the Supply Management team.
- Manage relationships with carriers to meet business needs.
- Arrange critical expedited freight, also known as Hot Shots.
- Audit invoices from service providers.
- Complete Worksite Safety Hazard Observations.
- Assist with logistics activities for major projects and provide guidance on customs requirements.
- Generate data and forms for regulatory reports and submissions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of an undergraduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration.
- A valid Class 5 GDL Alberta driver’s license or an equivalent out-of-province license.
- Knowledge of the MS Office Suite.
- An understanding of warehousing, distribution, and customs documentation.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada without restrictions.
Location & details#
- Location: Nisku, Alberta.
- Term: 12 months, starting January 2027.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day. Weekend work or on-call rotations may be required.
- Status: Paid, full-time, on-site.
