About the role#
This summer internship provides hands-on experience in petroleum geology and physical hydrogeology. You will work on projects within our Thermal or Conventional areas, gaining exposure to groundwater data and geological mapping. You will receive direct mentorship from an experienced Area Hydrogeologist, including training in mapping software, in-house seminars, and short courses to support your professional development.
What you'll do#
- Compile and assess regional geological and hydrogeological data.
- Perform regional bedrock aquifer mapping.
- Map the hydraulic head of regional artesian aquifers.
- Develop skills in technical reporting and presentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor or master degree program in Geology, with a specialization in Hydrogeology. Recent graduates of an accredited institution are also eligible.
- Ability to work effectively in collaborative, interdisciplinary teams.
- A self-starting attitude with the ability to work independently.
- A sense of ownership and responsibility for project outcomes.
- Physical and mental fitness for work.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada without restrictions.
Location & details#
- Location: Calgary, Alberta (Head Office).
- Term: 4 months, starting May 2027.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day.
- Modality: On-site.
