About the role#
The Controls Intern will join the Software Test Department to support the testing, validation, and improvement of control systems for turbomachinery equipment. This role offers hands-on experience with industrial automation, PLC programming, HMI testing, and electrical design.
What you'll do#
- Support the testing and validation of PLC-based control systems for turbomachinery.
- Perform testing and troubleshooting of HMI software.
- Assist in the development and review of electrical schematics and drawings.
- Document test results and report findings to the engineering team.
- Support engineers in control system commissioning, verification, and optimization activities.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, or Electromechanical Engineering, with about one year remaining before graduation.
- Intermediate to Advanced conversational English proficiency.
- Basic knowledge of PLC programming.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

- Location: Tijuana, BC, Canada.
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Modality: On-site, five days a week.
