About the role#
As an Application Developer Co-op student at Sanjel Energy Services, you will work directly with our development team to build, enhance, and support business applications. Under the guidance of a senior developer, you will contribute to production code, help maintain internal systems, and assist with integrations that connect our enterprise platforms. This role provides an opportunity to gain experience with Microsoft technologies including .NET, C#, and SQL Server while learning how software is delivered and supported in a corporate environment.
What you'll do#
- Write, test, and maintain features for business applications using .NET and C#.
- Assist with integrations between enterprise applications, databases, cloud services, and third-party platforms.
- Provide Tier 2 support for internally developed applications by investigating and resolving defects.
- Identify small automation opportunities to save time for the team or the business.
- Write and update technical documentation for your delivered work.
- Participate in technical design discussions and code reviews.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science, Software Development, Information Technology, or related post-secondary program.
- Foundational programming experience in C#.NET, or a comparable object-oriented language.
- Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL, including writing queries and understanding schemas.
- Familiarity with Git-based version control and collaborative development workflows.
- Understanding of core software development concepts and the development lifecycle.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn unfamiliar code.
