About the role#
Join the Control Systems team at Canadian Natural Resources Limited for an 8-month internship. This role focuses on the reliability and availability of DCS and control system assets. You will apply your academic background to operational projects while working with a team of professionals.
What you'll do#
- Design and implement forecasting models to predict trends and identify anomalies.
- Manage data processing workflows using orchestration tools.
- Develop interactive dashboards to share insights with stakeholders.
- Perform data cleaning and preprocessing to ensure high-quality datasets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from various sources and support operational improvements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor or master degree program in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Environmental Engineering.
- Completed formal training in data science.
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.

- Location: Calgary, Alberta (Head Office).
- Term: 8 months, starting May 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day.
- Work modality: On-site.
- This is a safety-sensitive position.
