About the role#
As an Accounting Student, you will join Canadian Natural Resources Limited to work alongside experienced professionals. You will gain hands-on experience in areas such as Accounts Payable, Financial Accounting, Royalty Accounting, Operations Accounting, or Property Accounting. This role is a full-time, paid position designed to help you apply your academic studies to real-world projects.
What you'll do#
- Process capital, revenue, royalty, and expense amounts according to governing agreements.
- Prepare reports, journal entries, and statements of accounts.
- Reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts.
- Gather, research, review, and confirm data accuracy.
- Investigate and respond to queries and disputes from internal departments and external partners.
- Manage transaction files for oil and gas properties.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in the 2nd or 3rd year of an undergraduate Accounting degree.
- Familiarity with accounting concepts and principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site at the head office in Calgary, Alberta.
- The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day.
- Terms are available starting in Winter 2027 and Summer 2027.
