About the role#
As a Network Services intern, you will work alongside senior engineers to support a global network environment. This role provides exposure to large-scale infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, Wireless, and SD-WAN services. You will learn how enterprise applications connect to the cloud and contribute to projects that modernize our network operations.
What you'll do#
- Support the Network Engineering team with daily operations, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Assist with ticket management and keep business stakeholders updated on network status.
- Help deploy, upgrade, and validate new network solutions.
- Document network standards, procedures, and diagrams.
- Learn about DNS, load balancing, and application connectivity.
- Contribute to automation initiatives using Python, Ansible, and GitHub.
- Collaborate with cloud, cybersecurity, and application teams in an Agile environment.
- Receive mentorship from senior architects and engineers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university program related to Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, Telecommunications, or Network Administration.
- A strong interest in enterprise networking and infrastructure.
- A basic understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and DNS fundamentals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on learning mindset.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience gained through academic projects, labs, or personal learning is an asset.
- Familiarity with Cisco, Palo Alto, or Fortinet technologies is a plus.
- Knowledge of Azure, PowerShell, Bash, or CI/CD pipelines is helpful.
