About the role#
The Astros Golf Foundation is looking for a Tournament Services Intern to support the Texas Children’s Houston Open and other high-profile golf events. This position provides exposure to event management, sponsor relations, and executive operations. You will work directly with leadership and various internal departments to ensure successful event execution.
What you'll do#
- Support project management tasks including tracking timelines and key deliverables.
- Assist with tournament Pro-Am events, youth clinics, and sponsor activities.
- Serve as a primary contact for internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Handle executive-level administrative duties such as preparing materials and coordinating meetings.
- Manage event budgets and maintain accurate financial records.
- Provide on-site support during the Texas Children’s Houston Open.
- Collaborate with departments like Sponsorship, Volunteers, Ticketing, Finance, and Operations.
- Organize and maintain confidential documents with discretion.
- Contribute to process improvements for event operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior, Senior, or graduate student in Sports Management, Hospitality, Business, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Strong analytical, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments at once.
- High level of professionalism and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for long periods.

- Location: Houston, Texas.
- Term: January 4, 2027, to May 5, 2027.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with additional event hours as needed.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
