About the role#
CACI is hiring Software Development interns for the Summer 2027 term to join the BEAGLE Agile Solution Factory. You will work on a team supporting border enforcement applications. This role focuses on agile methodology and requires the ability to work with a geographically separated team to solve technical problems.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and implement custom software and database applications for legacy and modernized systems.
- Work as a member of an agile product team, collaborating with developers, engineers, stakeholders, and end users.
- Participate in the full software lifecycle, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, testing, and retrospectives.
- Support software deployments, operations, and maintenance.
- Perform testing, create documentation, and develop training content.
- Analyze project problems to create solutions that ensure product quality and timeliness.
What you'll need#
- U.S. Citizenship and the ability to pass a CBP background investigation.
- Enrollment in a B.S. degree program for Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems, or a related discipline.
- Familiarity or the capacity to learn our tech stack, including PostgreSQL, Java Spring Boot, and Angular.
- Familiarity or the ability to learn Angular, Typescript, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
- Desired experience includes Java, Hibernate, XML, JSON, Web-Services, Eclipse, Maven, JUnit, shell scripting, C, C++, and Python.
- Desired experience with SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL databases.
- Familiarity with Spring, VMware, ETL tools, ESB message queuing, application security, automated testing, UML, VersionOne, Jira, or Sparx Enterprise Architect is a plus.
- Experience with SecDevOps CI/CD pipelines is helpful.
