About the role#
CACI is looking for interns for the Summer 2027 Makalu program. You will work in an agile environment focused on new development. This is a full-time, on-site position based in either Denver, Colorado, or Sterling, Virginia.
What you'll do#
- Design architecture for new components and suggest improvements to existing applications and UI/UX.
- Collaborate with on-site and remote engineers on front-end applications and back-end microservices.
- Solve technical problems and meet program objectives within the agile cycle.
- Build new UI applications while utilizing industry design patterns and open-source tools.
- Introduce new methods to meet mission needs and contribute to a positive team atmosphere.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- Entry-level coding knowledge and experience with REST-based web services.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Java Spring Boot, and Linux environments including shell scripting.
- Proficiency with modern web technologies like HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript build tools.
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Experience or familiarity with Git, microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and SQL databases is preferred.

- This internship is located on-site in Denver, CO, and Sterling, VA.
