About the role#
As a Software Test Engineer Intern at Awardco, you will help improve our platform by catching issues before they reach our users. You will gain deep knowledge of our product and work directly with our development teams to ensure quality. This is a full-time, paid internship running during the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Review and analyze system specifications.
- Report bugs and errors to the development team.
- Help troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Conduct post-release and post-implementation testing.
- Document QA processes.
- Perform ad-hoc and scripted manual tests.
- Convert manual test cases into automated cases using Cypress and JavaScript.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or recent completion of a program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or a QA/Development bootcamp.
- Ability to document and troubleshoot errors using JIRA.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills to build relationships between developers and product managers.
- Ability to offer suggestions on UI design and functionality.
- Experience with JavaScript, SQL, and automation testing software such as Selenium, Cucumber, or Cypress is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing.
- Prior experience in a QA manual or automation testing role is helpful.

- This role is based on-site in Lindon, Utah.
- The internship is a full-time commitment.
- The term is for the summer of 2027.
