About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience working with software engineers on enterprise-level projects. You will help build modern applications and services using Microsoft Azure to process employment verifications and criminal leads. The role also involves integrating with partner vendors and contributing to the migration of legacy systems.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the team to design, develop, and maintain databases, APIs, and user interfaces.
- Assist in building JavaScript-based single-page applications using frameworks like Angular and Vue.js.
- Support the migration of legacy codebases to modern architectures.
- Work with transactional databases to ensure data integrity and performance.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging sessions, and team discussions.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in a related field, or graduation within the last year.
- Basic knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming such as C#, Java, or Python.
- Familiarity with transactional databases like SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
- Exposure to JavaScript frameworks like Angular or Vue.js, whether through academic or personal projects.
- A willingness to learn new technologies and contribute to code migration efforts.

- This position is fully remote for candidates based in Maryland.
- The role is paid and full-time.
