About the role#
As a Continuous Improvement Intern, you will spend 10 to 12 weeks during the summer of 2027 working at our processing plant in Huntsville, Arkansas. You will work directly with plant teams to analyze operational data, participate in problem-solving activities, and implement improvements that support daily operations. This role focuses on how data-driven decision making, standardization, and employee engagement create results.
What you'll do#
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, and waste reduction.
- Assist with root cause analysis using tools like 5 Whys and Fishbone diagrams.
- Support daily management systems, including Tier meetings, visual performance boards, action tracking, and improvement validation.
- Assist with process documentation, standard work updates, visual controls, and operating procedure development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and sustain process improvements.
- Present findings, recommendations, and project results to plant leadership and other stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Agribusiness, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2029.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Creative problem solving, critical thinking, and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with team members at all levels.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation to and from work.

- This position is paid and requires work in a manufacturing plant environment with varying conditions, including cold, wet, or warm areas. You may be required to wear personal protective equipment and hearing protection. Occasional travel is required.
