About the role#
Buckner Children and Family Services offers internship opportunities within programs such as Family Hope Centers, Foster Care and Adoption, FYi, and Family Pathways. What you'll do#
- Support the planning and implementation of activities for children and families.
- Shadow staff and manage specific aspects of a family case.
- Collaborate with team members on planning special year-round events.
- Participate in team meetings and projects.
- Perform clerical duties and tasks as assigned by a supervisor.
- Develop technical skills related to non-profit operations and ministry.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree.
- A strong academic record.
- Ability to commit to 16-24 hours per week during business hours, with some evening availability required.
- Comfort working with children and adults of diverse ages, socioeconomic backgrounds, cultures, and religious beliefs.
- Ability to provide clear written and verbal instructions.
- Access to personal housing and transportation to the assigned site.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish are preferred but not required.
