About the role#
The Engineering Intern will support new product development and sustaining efforts for the Navico Group team in Tulsa. This role involves hands-on work with prototype development, lab equipment maintenance, and product testing. You will work alongside experienced professionals to apply your academic knowledge to real-world tasks while contributing to our product validation processes.
What you'll do#
- Execute product validation testing and provide detailed reporting.
- Build prototypes using electrical and mechanical principles.
- Design and fabricate test fixtures for various components.
- Assist with on-water product validation testing.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement repair solutions.
- Perform basic modifications to electronic circuits.
- Maintain and operate the Tulsa boat and vehicle fleet.
- Manage general shop and lab upkeep.
- Coordinate and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Civil, Computer, or Environmental Engineering.
- Basic machine shop experience, including proficiency with a vertical mill, lathe, and general shop tools.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a group setting.
- Comfort with multi-tasking and shifting priorities.
- Experience in a lab environment involving environmental, electrical, or mechanical testing is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various conditions, including outdoor environments and confined spaces.

- Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma.
- Term: Summer 2026 (May to August).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Commitment: Full-time (40 hours per week).
- Compensation: Paid internship ($18.00 - $27.00 per hour).
