About the role#
The Sales and Marketing Intern role provides hands-on experience in digital marketing, graphic design, content creation, and brand strategy. You will work under the guidance of a supervisor to support the development and execution of marketing campaigns and creative content. This position involves partnering with team members to coordinate tasks, monitor progress, and assist in project delivery. You will gain practical experience outside of the classroom within a collaborative team environment.
What you'll do#
- Support the planning and execution of cross-functional initiatives.
- Collaborate with designers, writers, and marketing team members to ensure brand consistency.
- Assist in the creation of marketing materials, including social media graphics, email templates, presentations, and promotional assets.
- Help manage content calendars and contribute ideas for posts, blogs, and multimedia content.
- Support campaign planning and execution across digital, print, and social channels.
- Assist in conducting market research and competitive analysis.
- Help track campaign performance and compile analytics reports.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to creative ideation.
- Help prepare presentations, reports, and dashboards for leadership review.
- Organize and archive creative assets and project files.
- Contribute to process improvement efforts and change management activities.
- Attend and complete Intern Workshops and Intern Summer Series Sessions.
- Complete an intern capstone project assignment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Media Studies, or a related field.
- Continued enrollment in an accredited program following the internship.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or Canva.
- Basic understanding of digital marketing platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, Mailchimp, or Google Ads.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail.
- A proactive mindset and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to perform field work at various sites as needed.
