About the role#
The Lab Intern role for Summer 2027 offers hands-on experience in a professional consulting environment. You will work alongside experienced engineers, scientists, and consultants to apply your academic knowledge to real-world technical challenges. This position involves supporting research, data analysis, and documentation tasks to help deliver client and internal initiatives. You will work under close supervision with regular guidance from your manager and team.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support project planning and execution.
- Perform technical and operational tasks within your assigned functional area.
- Participate in meetings by taking notes, tracking action items, and supporting follow-up activities.
- Manage and deliver assignments on time.
- Attend Intern Workshops and Summer Series sessions.
- Complete an intern capstone project.
- Adapt to evolving business and team needs as required.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in Engineering, Science, or a related field, with continued enrollment planned after the internship.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Ability to organize information, track tasks, and maintain documentation with attention to detail.
- Basic written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with technical, scientific, or data analysis tools.
- Understanding of laboratory health and safety practices and standard operating procedures.
- Willingness to learn laboratory techniques, analytical methods, and technical reporting procedures.
- Ability to follow safety requirements and regulatory guidelines.
- A positive attitude, professional behavior, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
