About the role#
The Engineering Intern role provides hands-on experience by applying academic knowledge to real-world technical challenges. You will work alongside experienced professionals to support consulting teams on a variety of projects. This role involves research, data analysis, technical evaluations, and the preparation of project materials. You will work under close supervision and receive regular guidance from your manager and team members.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams to support project planning and execution.
- Assist with day-to-day activities within your assigned functional area.
- Participate in meetings by taking notes, tracking action items, and supporting follow-up tasks.
- Perform technical and operational assignments to support project needs.
- Manage and deliver your assigned tasks on time.
- Attend all Intern Workshops and Summer Series sessions.
- Complete an intern capstone project.
- Adapt to evolving business needs and take on additional assignments as required.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Software) or Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, Data Science).
- Commitment to continued enrollment in an accredited degree program following the internship.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Ability to organize information, maintain documentation, and track project details.
- Basic written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with technical, scientific, or data analysis tools.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with others.
- A positive attitude, professional behavior, and respect for confidentiality.
- Curiosity and a willingness to learn new tools and methodologies.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid summer internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is on-site at one of the following locations: Atlanta, GA; Sunrise, FL; Charlotte, NC; Columbia, SC; Greenville, SC; Coral Gables, FL; Nashville, TN; Raleigh, NC; or Tampa, FL.
- This position requires a pre-employment background check and drug test.
