About the role#
The Process Mechanical Engineering Intern role supports consulting teams on technical projects during the summer of 2027. You will work alongside experienced professionals to apply your academic knowledge to real-world challenges. The position involves research, data analysis, and documentation to help deliver client and internal initiatives. You will gain exposure to the project lifecycle while working in a professional consulting environment under the guidance of a supervisor.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support project planning and execution.
- Perform technical and operational tasks within your assigned functional area.
- Participate in internal and external meetings by taking notes and tracking action items.
- Manage and deliver assigned tasks on time.
- Attend Intern Workshops and Summer Series sessions.
- Complete an intern capstone project.
- Adapt to evolving business needs and support team requirements.
- Potentially attend site visits to treatment plants or industrial facilities for sampling and assessments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Software) or Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, Data Science).
- Continued enrollment in an accredited degree program following the internship.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Ability to organize information, maintain documentation, and track tasks with attention to detail.
- Basic written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with technical, scientific, or data analysis tools.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A positive attitude, professional behavior, and respect for confidentiality.
- Adaptability and an eagerness to learn.
