About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based in Seattle. You will work on water and wastewater conveyance projects, supporting systems that manage critical infrastructure. We offer a rolling term for students pursuing a degree in civil or mechanical engineering.
What you'll do#
- Support the planning and design of water and wastewater pump stations and conveyance infrastructure.
- Develop plans, specifications, and cost estimates for various projects.
- Perform hydraulic system modeling and alternative analysis of design options.
- Prepare technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or completion of your junior year of a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- A self-starter mindset with an interest in applying engineering principles, critical thinking, and analysis.
- Experience or coursework in water or wastewater treatment is preferred.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Microstation, Revit, or Sketch Up is a plus.
- Having passed or scheduled the FE/EIT exam is preferred.
- Previous internship experience is considered a plus.

- Compensation: $22 to $29 per hour.
