About the role#
Apex Companies is hiring a Civil/Environmental Engineering Co-op to support project teams with design, permitting, and construction administration. This role offers a mix of office-based tasks and field work. You will contribute to projects involving water, wastewater, stormwater, and transportation infrastructure.
What you'll do#
- Assist project teams with design and permitting tasks.
- Support construction administration activities.
- Perform field work, including GPS data collection and construction observations.
- Use your technical skills to solve problems on active engineering projects.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or completion of the following courses: CIVE 2221 (Statics and Solid Mechanics), CIVE 2260 (Materials for the Built Environment), CIVE 2261 (Lab for CIVE 2260), and CIVE 2334 (Environmental Engineering: Principles, Technology, and Sustainability).
- A valid driver's license.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Solid technical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Experience with AutoCAD and GIS mapping software is preferred.

- This is a full-time, paid, on-site position.
- Openings are available in Quincy, Massachusetts, and Woburn, Massachusetts.
- The program operates on a rolling basis.
