About the role#
This internship offers hands-on experience in environmental engineering and consulting. You will work alongside experienced professionals to support project planning, research, and data analysis. The role is designed to help you apply your academic knowledge to real-world technical challenges while gaining exposure to the full project lifecycle.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support project execution.
- Perform technical and operational tasks within your assigned specialty.
- Participate in internal and external meetings, including note-taking and tracking action items.
- Manage and deliver assigned tasks on time.
- Complete a capstone project and attend all required Intern Workshops and Summer Series sessions.
- Visit project sites, such as treatment plants and industrial facilities, as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program in Engineering, Science, or a related field.
- Intent to continue your degree program after the internship ends.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Ability to organize information, maintain documentation, and pay attention to detail.
- Familiarity with technical or data analysis tools and a willingness to learn new methodologies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid position located on-site in Honolulu or Wailuku, Hawaii.
- The internship takes place during the Summer 2027 term.
- This role does not offer visa sponsorship.
