About the role#
As a Sales Representative Intern, you will learn the fundamentals of selling essential services within the environmental services industry. You will support our sales team by prospecting new clients, nurturing relationships, and helping businesses and residents find the right waste solutions. This is a full-time, paid summer internship.
What you'll do#
- Assist in identifying and qualifying new sales leads.
- Support outbound outreach through phone calls, emails, and in-person visits.
- Help prepare proposals, quotes, and presentations for potential clients.
- Maintain CRM records and track customer interactions.
- Shadow experienced sales representatives during client meetings and site visits.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
- Collaborate with operations to ensure service alignment with customer needs.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving sales strategy.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Comfort speaking with clients and handling objections.
- Self-motivation and a desire to learn.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- CRM experience is a plus.
- An interest in sustainability, logistics, or service-based industries is a bonus.
