About the role#
The Engineering Intern role provides an opportunity to apply academic knowledge to real-world technical challenges. You will work alongside experienced professionals to support consulting teams on various projects within your assigned technical discipline. This position involves research, data analysis, documentation, and project support to help deliver client and internal initiatives. You will work under close supervision with regular guidance from your manager and team.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams to support project planning and execution.
- Support day-to-day activities within your assigned projects or functional area.
- Participate in meetings by taking notes, tracking action items, and supporting follow-up activities.
- Perform technical or support tasks within your specialty to meet project needs.
- Manage and deliver assignments on time.
- Attend and complete Intern Workshops and Intern Summer Series Sessions.
- Complete an intern capstone project.
- Adapt to evolving business and team needs by executing additional assignments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Software Engineering, or in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, or Data Science.
- Continued enrollment in an accredited degree program following the conclusion of the internship.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Ability to organize information, maintain documentation, track tasks, and pay attention to detail.
- Basic written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to apply academic knowledge to practical technical challenges.
- Familiarity with technical, scientific, or data analysis tools relevant to your discipline.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Adaptability, curiosity, and an eagerness to learn.
- An interest in consulting, client engagement, and technical communication.
