About the role#
This is an 8-week Summer Associate position within the Corporate Finance and Valuation practice at BRG. You will work alongside senior management consulting professionals on a variety of valuation engagements, including fairness and solvency opinions, portfolio valuation, tax and financial reporting, and litigation support. This role is intended for students with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028.
What you'll do#
- Analyze historical and projected financial information.
- Build detailed financial models to value companies and investments.
- Organize large data sets in Microsoft Excel.
- Use financial platforms like Capital IQ and Bloomberg.
- Research client industries to identify competitive advantages and disadvantages.
- Develop your understanding of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
- Communicate project status and results to internal and external stakeholders.
- Write professional reports and contribute to team goals.
- Participate in business development activities and client meetings.
- Take ownership of your work product while maintaining high quality standards.
What you'll need#
- Progression toward a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5.
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Intellectual curiosity and the ability to learn quickly.
- Verification of your legal right to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

- This role is based on-site in either Boston, Massachusetts, or New York, New York.
- The internship takes place during the summer of 2027.
- This is a full-time, paid position.
