About the role#
The Corporate Finance Summer Associate position is an 8-week internship program within the Turnaround and Restructuring practice. You will work as a member of our consulting staff, assisting teams that provide strategic and financial advice to companies in transition or underperforming states. This role is based in Chicago and is scheduled for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support the daily activities of client service teams on active engagements.
- Execute tasks including financial modeling and the creation of client presentations.
- Build 13-week cash flow models, 3-statement models, and pro-forma scenario models.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, analyses, and other client deliverables.
- Collaborate with BRG experts, external professionals, and client contacts to meet project objectives.
- Contribute to practice development through marketing support, client pitches, and internal initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Progression toward a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Management, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or Political Science.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5.
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
- A mature presence, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to learn quickly.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
