    About the role#

    Ankura is seeking interns to join the Turnaround & Restructuring team. This group works with clients facing critical issues such as liquidity constraints, over-levered balance sheets, and unprofitable business units. As an intern, you will join project teams to help assess situations, develop strategic plans, and execute turnarounds.

    What you'll do#

    • Build an understanding of the bankruptcy process, financial models, statement analysis, and complex data sets.
    • Manage deliverables including pitches, presentations, reports, and research summaries under the guidance of senior leaders.
    • Conduct financial research using company reports, SEC filings, and online databases.
    • Communicate findings clearly in electronic formats, meetings, and client presentations.
    • Develop a professional network within the industry.
    • Improve your proficiency in Microsoft Office tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
    • Expected graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028.
    • A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Advanced skills in analytical, quantitative, and interpretative work.
    • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
    • Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Chicago, Illinois.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Compensation: $34 per hour.
    • Program terms: Summer 2027 or Summer 2028.
