About the role#
Ankura is seeking interns for the Turnaround & Restructuring team. This group works with clients facing critical issues like liquidity constraints, over-levered balance sheets, and unprofitable business units. As an intern, you will join project teams to help assess situations, build strategic plans, and execute turnarounds.
What you'll do#
- Learn the bankruptcy process, financial modeling, and statement analysis.
- Manage project deliverables including pitches, reports, client presentations, and research summaries.
- Conduct financial research using SEC filings, company reports, and online databases.
- Communicate project findings clearly in writing and during client meetings.
- Build a professional network within the industry.
- Improve your proficiency in Microsoft Office tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- An expected graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and interpretative skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Permanent authorization to work in the United States. This role does not offer immigration sponsorship.

- This internship is located in New York, NY.
- The position is on-site and full-time.
- The pay rate for this role is $34 per hour.
- Opportunities are available for Summer 2027 and Summer 2028.
