About the role#
Bound is looking for a Human Resources Intern to join our People Operations team for the summer of 2027. Our HR function is currently a team of one, which means you will have the chance to own your work and make a tangible impact from the start. You will help us build the systems and experiences that support our growing team as we continue to expand across the country.
What you'll do#
- Support the new hire onboarding process from offer acceptance through their first week.
- Maintain and organize employee records and workflows within Rippling.
- Draft internal communications for Slack and email that translate policy into clear, human language.
- Contribute to employee engagement initiatives and culture programming.
- Research multi-state HR compliance topics such as PTO, sick leave, and classification.
- Coordinate logistics for team events, recognition moments, and culture rituals.
- Identify outdated processes and propose ideas to improve them.
- Handle sensitive employee information with discretion and care.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Communications, or a related field, with enrollment continuing through Summer 2027.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Comfort handling confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and Slack, or the ability to pick up new tools quickly.
- Prior internship or coursework in HR, People Ops, or organizational psychology is a plus.
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms is helpful.
- An interest in working within a startup or scale-up environment.
