    About the role#

    A Supplier Engineer provides leadership and project management to drive the onboarding of components for manufacturing plants across the globe. You will work independently and interact cross-functionally to execute deliverables according to business needs. This role is a full-time internship for Summer 2027.

    What you'll do#

    • Build partnerships and ensure quality and regulatory compliance by working with global suppliers to meet project milestones.
    • Identify and lead Value Improvement Projects and cost optimizations within the supply chain.
    • Partner with project management offices from different divisions to support supplier engineering action items.
    • Execute plans to support supply chain objectives, including supplier performance, material risk mitigation, and material improvements.
    • Lead or participate in project teams to qualify and improve supplier processes.
    • Drive troubleshooting and problem-solving methodologies at supplier facilities.
    • Support other supplier engineers with acquisition or sustaining projects, such as qualification, supplier change assessments, and regulated material evaluations.
    • Maintain a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality in all actions.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Biomedical, or Industrial Engineering, or Materials Science.
    • Must graduate between Fall 2027 and Spring 2028.
    • Ability to commit to one of the following program periods: May 17th - August 6th or May 24th - August 13th.
    • Engineering experience in manufacturing, supplier engineering, or quality in a professional setting.
    • Experience working with suppliers, in supply chain management, or in a regulated industry is preferred.
    • Understanding of statistical methods, six sigma, and problem-solving methodologies.
    • Experience reading design drawings and GD&T.
    • Project management experience and a self-driven approach to learning.
    • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Arden Hills, Minnesota.
    • Work Modality: Hybrid, with an expectation to be in the office at least three days per week.
    • Transportation: You must have reliable transportation to and from the Arden Hills corporate location.
    • Safety: This role is deemed safety-sensitive and is subject to a prohibited substance test.
