    About the role#

    As a Process Development Engineering Intern, you will help bridge the gap between research and development and full-scale manufacturing. You will contribute to the creation of medical devices by developing technologies, systems, and processes that improve product quality and reduce variation. This role is suited for students interested in electrical systems, controls, automation, and software-enabled process development.

    What you'll do#

    • Connect Research and Development to Manufacturing by building robust processes and technologies.
    • Develop new manufacturing processes and test systems capable of scaling to high-volume production.
    • Design, develop, and troubleshoot automated equipment, controls, and data acquisition solutions.
    • Apply fundamentals of engineering, controls, automation, and programming to manufacturing systems.
    • Partner with technology leaders and cross-functional teams to implement new capabilities.
    • Maintain responsibility for the content and integrity of Process Plans.
    • Develop and maintain Manufacturing Instructions to support material and process implementation throughout the product lifecycle.
    • Ensure all work conforms to global process development procedures and quality requirements.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
    • Graduation date between Fall 2027 and Spring 2029.
    • Ability to commit to a full 12-week internship during Summer 2027.
    • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
    • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
    • Ability to perform basic data analysis using tools like Minitab, JMP, or Excel.
    • Experience with LabVIEW, PLC programming, or industrial automation platforms such as Rockwell Automation is a plus.
    • Clear communication skills and a focus on teamwork.
    • Demonstrated experience working as part of a technical team.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Arden Hills, Minnesota.
    • Modality: Hybrid (requires being in the office at least four days per week).
    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Full-time position.
    • Reliable transportation to the Arden Hills corporate location is required.
