About the role#
As a Process Development Intern, you will work with cross-functional teams to build manufacturing processes for medical devices. You will partner with R&D and Operations to move designs from early stages into production. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Manage the integrity and content of Process Plans, including material selection and task sequencing.
- Collaborate with teams to establish and refine manufacturing workflows.
- Design, fabricate, and test prototype devices based on clinical feedback.
- Conduct process characterization experiments and validation to find optimal manufacturing settings.
- Investigate and recommend new technologies for medical device production.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor or graduate degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
- Graduation date between Fall 2027 and Spring 2028.
- Ability to commit to a 12 week assignment during one of these windows: May 17, 2027 to August 6, 2027, or May 24, 2027 to August 13, 2027.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
- Effective communication skills and a desire to learn new technologies.
- Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Maple Grove, Minnesota.
- Modality: Hybrid (requires being in the office at least four days per week).
- Transportation: You must have reliable transportation to and from the Maple Grove site.
- Safety: This is a safety-sensitive position and requires a prohibited substance test.
