About the role#
As an Undergraduate Engineering Intern, you will learn about the architecture and definition of computing devices and solutions. You will partner with product technologists, serviceability engineers, product test engineers, industrial designers, and software engineers to address complex technical challenges.
What you'll do#
- Identify root causes and resolve service event drivers within Dell Technologies Services teams.
- Solve ambiguous problems that require the evaluation of intangible variables.
- Perform predictive, cost benefit, and risk analyses.
- Integrate data and trends into actionable plans and recommendations.
- Anticipate operational and program issues while developing preventative measures.
- Adjust project methods based on feedback from customers and business partners.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited Bachelor of Science program in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Systems Engineering Technology, or Computer Science.
- Completion of a substantial number of upper-level engineering courses with an expected graduation date in December 2027 or Spring 2028.
- Ability to write and interpret requirements, functional specifications, design specifications, test plans, and technical documentation.
- Basic understanding of x86 and ARM computer architectures.
- Foundational knowledge of microprocessors, digital logic design, embedded systems, and Microsoft-based operating systems.
- Ability to interface effectively with teams inside and outside of the engineering function.
- Skill in managing multiple projects, setting priorities, and working independently under tight deadlines.

- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship.
- Positions are located in Round Rock, Texas, or Hopkinton, Massachusetts.
- The pay range for this position is $27.10 to $31.80 per hour.
